I'm happy to announce comedian Tim Bedore, known best from his "Vague but True" segments on The Bob and Tom show, will perform @ MCL August 4 and 5.

Bob and Tom Comic Helps Elks Crippled Children Fund It turns out laughter is the best medicine. Mason City Limits Comedy Club and The Elks Country Club in Lincoln, IL will hold a raffle to benefit The Elks Crippled Children Fund. The winner and a friend get to play a round of golf at the Lincoln course with Bob and Tom comedian Tim Bedore as part of the grand prize. Bedore, best known for his Vague but True segments on the nationally syndicated morning show, performs at Mason City Limits Friday August 4th and Saturday August 5th. Bedore will bring long time friend and former comedian Dr. Gonzo, who owns two restaurants in Mason City: Jack and Jo’s Steakhouse and PJ’s Pizza and Pasta. The Grand Prize winner also wins dinner for two at PJ’s and two tickets to Bedore’s show at the new comedy club located in downtown Mason City. The public can purchase raffle tickets at The Elks Country Club, as well as Mason City Limits. Raffle tickets are also available online at www.mclimits.com. Other prizes include two tickets to the “Friends of The Bob & Tom Show” and a chance to meet the comedians. There are two sets of tickets available, one for the show in Peoria on Friday August 11th and Saturday, August 12th in Decatur. Comedians for those shows include Donnie Baker, Tim Cavanaugh, Greg Hahn, Bob Zany and Kathleen Madigan. Bedore will perform two shows Friday August 4th and Saturday August 5th. Show times are 7:15 and 9:30 both nights. The early show Saturday is non smoking. Douglas Dean, the golf pro at The Elks, mentioned the charity to MCL owner Chris Speyrer, who then in turn suggested the idea to Bedore. The charity enjoys wide spread support among the Lincoln Community. Speyrer opened Mason City Limits in late March, which brings in Bob and Tom comics on a regular basis. Mason City Limits in located at 114 E. Chestnut St. next to Jack and Jo’s Steakhouse.
